Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Today we will perform a yoga practice at dawn. Then, our Balinese guide will pick us up at the hotel to go to a small Balinese village, where we will proceed with a “Melukat”, a very important ritual for Hindus in Bali. It takes place on a specific day that brings good luck, such as the Kajen Kliwon (a day in the Balinese calendar that is believed to have magical power), the Purnama (full moon) or Tilem (new moon). The ritual begins by washing each person their own body and hair in one of the sacred springs of Bali, as in the Temple of Tirta Empul, followed by a prayer in the temple. The Melukat requires a special offering called Pejati, which means "determined heart." The next step is to visit a Pemangku (priest) or Pedanda (high priest) to ask for his blessing. On special occasions, a mebayuh ritual is performed, to neutralize the negative aspects of the human being. Upon arrival, a welcome drink will be served and we will be dressed in a sarong.
After lunch, we will continue with a tour towards the Goa Gajah Temple, also known as the Elephant Cave, the Sebatu Temple, known for its sacred springs, and the Tegalalang Rice Fields.
In the afternoon, return to the hotel, then enjoy Ubud and its streets full of holistic treatments.
